In 2018 and 2019, Holm Kommunikation nominated for Europe's largest PR award, the SABRE Awards, for the fireworks campaign performed for the Danish Safety And Security Agency. And now, for the third year in a row, the campaign is nominated again.
Like the past two years, the campaign is about getting young men to use fireworks in the right way to bring down the number of injuries. But where previous campaigns have taken advantage of VR technology and 5D experiences, last year's campaign took advantage solely of memes targeting the young audience.
Through a variety of memes referencing hip-hop and youth culture, the campaign reached more than 800,000 users and gained more than 40,000 engagement on Facebook. At the same time, the Danish Safety Authority gained 4,500 new followers in the 17 days the campaign was active.
The Sabre Awards are Europe's largest PR awards, and Holm Kommunikation's digital campaign is selected from submitted campaigns across Europe in the men's marketing category.
